My name is Álvaro Rodríguez Muñoz and I've felt a deep passion for video games ever since I first played Horace & The Spiders in my old ZX Spectrum back in 1983, when I was just 5 years old. Since then, I've been accompanied by computers and consoles, and I became a gamer while growing up.

Alongside my gaming passion, I developed an intense interest in languages, leading me study a Master's Degree in Audiovisual Translation: Localization, Subtitling and Dubbing at the University of Cadiz.

Since 2012, I've been deeply involved in the video game localization industry. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work on a wide range of titles, spanning from AAA games to smaller mobile projects (PC & consoles). Additionally, I've participated in the localization of strategy guides or websites and created marketing materials for well-known companies like Sony PlayStation and other game developers.

I find immense joy in the process of localizing content into Spanish, allowing me to unleash my characteristic creativity when the project calls for it, all while ensuring the best possible solutions for our domestic market.

Notably, my translation work on Persona 5 Royal earned me a finalist position in the category of Best Translation of a video game for console, PC, web, or mobile device at the IX ATRAE Awards in 2021.
